The short version: we collect what we need to run your care and your account, we share it only with the people who treat you and the vendors who make the service work, we never sell it, and we never use your health information for advertising.

Who we are

Vaylen Health (“Vaylen,” “we”) operates joinvaylen.com and its subdomains. Vaylen is a technology and care-coordination platform. It is not a medical provider and does not compound or manufacture medication. Clinical services are provided by licensed U.S. clinicians through OpenLoop Health; prescriptions are filled by U.S.-licensed pharmacies.

Information we collect

Identity and contact: name, email, phone, shipping address, date of birth, state of residence.
Health information you provide in the intake assessment: medical history, medications, measurements and related answers. Once received for clinical purposes, this is handled as protected health information under HIPAA, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Payment information: processed by Stripe. Vaylen does not store full card numbers.
Usage information: device, browser, pages viewed and interactions, collected via cookies and similar technologies as described below.

How we use it

To coordinate your clinical review, prescription fulfillment and shipping.
To operate your account, subscriptions, billing and refunds.
To provide customer support and send transactional communications.
To improve the service, secure it and comply with law.

What we share, and with whom

Your clinical team: the reviewing clinician (through OpenLoop Health) and the dispensing pharmacy.
Service providers operating under contract and, where they handle health information, under business associate agreements: payment processing, clinical records, shipping, communications and analytics infrastructure.
Legal: when required by law, subpoena or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use or disclose your health information for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies for essential site functions and, with appropriate safeguards, analytics that help us fix problems and improve the experience. Pages where you enter health or payment information are configured to mask that data from analytics tooling. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as required for clinical record-keeping, tax and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to clinical record retention requirements, by emailing support@joinvaylen.com. State-specific rights (including California residents’ rights to know, delete and correct) are honored as applicable. We do not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Children

The service is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We will post any changes here with a new effective date, and notify you of material changes.
